Dan Chamby

Mr. Dan Chamby is a founding board member of the Pan-African Higher Education Initiative Foundation (PAHEi). His commitment to PAHEi stems from his belief in the organization’s potential to help transform the African continent through broader access to quality education.
Mr. Chamby was portfolio manager of the BlackRock Global Allocation Fund before retiring in 2020 after nearly three decades working for the firm. He started his career at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and worked a few years for Fujitsu, Limited in their Tokyo, Japan headquarters.
Mr. Chamby received his BA degree in political science and French literature from Duquesne University in 1982, and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1988. Mr. Chamby speaks Japanese and French. Mr. Chamby is fluent in English, and French. He currently lives in Princeton-NJ, with his family.
