Michael Rochelle

Lieutenant General (LTG – USA Retired) Michael D. Rochelle is a founding board member of the Pan-African Higher Education Initiative Foundation (PAHEi). PAHEi benefits from his experience as a leader, mentor, and coach at the top echelon of the US Military, and at several reputable global organizations.
General Rochelle is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a Certified Mentor Coach (CMC), specializing in executive and leadership coaching. He is also a founding faculty member of the George Mason University, Center for the Advancement of Well-Being’s premier coach training program, Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being.
In 2012, shortly after his retirement from the United States Army, General Rochelle enrolled in the ICF accredited coach training program at George Mason University and began his highly successful executive and leadership coaching practice. Since that initial entry into the world of professional coaching, he has received advanced coach training in team and group coaching through Corentus of Boston Massachusetts and the Global Team Coaching Institute (GTCI), training in the Ontological coaching methodology from the Newfield Institute, and certification training as a Certified Mentor Coach from Invite Change of Freeland, Washington.
As an ontological coach (Newfield), General Rochelle supports his clients in expanding awareness of the Observer they are of themselves. He assists in bringing expanded awareness to his clients through explorations of language, emotion, and deeper somatic explorations.
General Rochelle’s current and past clients include: Walmart (Corporate), John Deere, Inc. General Rochelle is a graduate of Shippensburg University, where he earned a Master of Arts Degree in public administration. His military education includes the Army War College, Army Command and General Staff College, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, and the Adjutant General Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in foreign language education in 1972 from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was a member of the National Society of Pershing Rifles.
